I have only had a problem when a battery backup dies. I actually put some of Mom's Christmas lights on a surge protector, but it is just so she can turn them all on with a touch of a button. Cheesy Grin

That is what they are designed to do DGP!
You just gave a clear testimonial to that! I highly suggest them for everyone especially for computer stuff and electronic circuit board things like televisions. A good surge protector will also be a good idea for a refrigerator.

Our electric here in Greater Cincy is reasonably stable. Still, I had a motherboard get zapped a couple week-ends ago and it was protected. Go figure.

First one of those for me in a long time.
