I don't know what a marble mouse looks like. I'd throw out the cats (I'm not a cat person, but visiting them is ok), but maybe you ought to consider one of those wireless ones.
Linda, I use a marble mouse because I sit in a recliner. My only problem is the kittens chewing on the wires and stepping on the on/off button on the computer.
