Hi micro,

With your method there would be no need to have representatives.
That's why we vote, they are representing our best interests, OR should be, Or they are NOT reelected.

As for the 18 year olds, they are often the ones fighting & dying for our country. I think they deserve a vote, even if they don't own property.
Besides, I don't know many rushing to vote for or against the school budget. At least I don't see them when I'm there.

Could we add onto that proposed bill an amendment that no taxes shall be passed without a VOTE of the people who would be affected?

If you're not affected, you should have NO SAY to the wallets of those that would be.

Example, 18 year old kids who don't know anything about paying property taxes for example but would automatically go vote for a proposed school levy the Board put on a ballot.

Am I wrong about thinking like this?
