...can you think of anything we could have said or done to get him to drop the subject? We are well aware that we are curmudgeons of the highest order and sometimes "insensitive" to the plight of others. We just don't give a rats behind. The war on poverty has been going on since LBJ and poverty is winning. Ya can't help folks who don't want to help themselves and as long as the media portrays people like Rangel and Jessee Jackson and Rev Jeremiah Wright as "black leaders" with solutions to the problem rather than being part of the problem, things aren't going to get any better.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs! |
