I surmised that but needed conformation. If one can have confidence in Sprague-speak in the "unsafe harbor" one could finally conclude that an offer to purchase is a concern. That's a double edged sword depending on one's personal perspectives and time frame. There are the obvious benefits, assuming the purchaser actually wanted to market Wave's products successfully. Again, assuming much deeper pockets, better marketing and relationships I would think (1)that TC adoption would be expedited;(2)the purchase would be accretive quickly causing appreciation in the value of that Co's share price (thus Wave's shareholders if paid w/ shares in the aquiring Co); (3) for those like myself who's time frame is quickly running out (and there are a lot) any fair premium would be welcome; (4) Real management could prove to be of substantial benefit; (5) I suspect there would be significant synergies; (6) combined R&Ds might be less expensive and more productive...etc
I'd welcome an offer. Don't have to accept it. Just an offer would give the SP some juice. Lay it on me. Thx CF
SKS appears to have been concerned about this at the SHM. I don't suppose he referenced the possibility lightly. The folks with the under-developed products and the customer relationships would surely see the value of absorbing an unappreciated upstart with a stronger product, few customer relationships and a poor valuation like Wave. If I ran Symantec or McAfee, I'd see Wave is a ripe target. Fortunately for Wave's investors, I don't!!
