Back in the 1960's a friend who was the store manager went to the bank one morning. He was a small guy, about 5'9" and 140 pounds. He noticed a group of Indians around two small tourists, trying to get money from them. He pushed the Indians aside and pulled the folks out. Later he got a letter from the Japanise Embassy, thanking him for saving two of their people. He laughed about it. On the other side, a big Indian man was drunk in a bar one night and singing a native chant. A local cop came in and tried to arrest him. When he ignored the cop, the cop broke his night stick over the man's head. The man then calmly got up, picked up the cop, and tossed him out of the bar. About 20 minutes later a Navajo cop came in. He went over and told the man, "You are late and your wife is going to be unhappy. It is time to go." The man went out and got into the 'patty wagon' and the Navajo cop took him home.

Next time I'm confronted with a 6' 5", 300 lb belligerent guy, I just may take your advice. Then again, maybe not.
