Good morning Tour!

Well I agree with you about several of those salient points, especially Ohm's law. Yeah, I know the wattage is printed but the guise of this is that it will save electric consumption.

I personally do not like the looks of these spirally creatures and they are way overpriced.

IF anyone manages to save ANY household current it will eaten up by the costs of these bulbs.

However, I tried them in good faith, lots of them, and saw ZIP difference AND I did this in the spring when there was NO air conditioning or heat running so I could eliminate that variable.

I don't know what went wrong or perhaps we simply do not turn on the lights enough to make any difference.

That could be. I just didn't see any savings on my electric bill, but then again, it is only $100.00 per month even with the air conditioning running so I am not complaining.

No sir, you are right, I am not afraid of change. I just don't like the looks or the cost of these new bulbs. I prefer getting light bulbs for around 25 cents each. I will continue to stockpile until I no longer can and then pray for a change in administration and a complete changeover in the EPA and several other intrusive and expansive agencies.

Have a good one!

micro....

Something must have gone wrong with the experiment, micro. Ohm's law is pretty straightforward. The wattage is printed right on the box. It takes less wattage for these bulbs to pump out as many lumens as a higher-watt incandescent.

By the way, the Feds never told you you can't use a doggone regular light bulb when you want to. You should feel free to use up your stock before moving to the new ones. I think this is part of the problem: People with a high distrust of the government (not that there's anything wrong with that) automatically think something fraudulent must be getting foisted on them. It's just a damn bulb that uses less juice.
