Clo,

It's been reported that Gingrich as something over $52 million in his PAC and that the rules say that he can pretty much spend it any where he wants, including paying for more cruise to exotic places if that's what he wishes to do with the money. However, there's speculation that he may sit back and watch the pack of GOP contenders fight it out during the early primaries and then when the opportunity is right, offer his support (name AND money) to whomever promises him the best deal (the rumor is he may have his eyes on Hillary's job, Secretary of State, in a future Republican administration).

Newt Gingrich's fundraisers quit presidential campaign

By Catalina Camia, USA TODAY

Updated at 1:48 p.m. ET

Newt Gingrich's top fundraisers have quit his presidential campaign, just weeks after his top aides and strategists in key states such as Iowa and South Carolina resigned en masse.

Campaign spokesman R.C. Hammond told the Associated Press that fundraising director Jody Thomas and consultant Mary Heitman are the latest staff departures.

The former House speaker's presidential campaign already had fundraising challenges, even before his aides quit.

Politico reports that Gingrich still has about a half dozen people dedicated to raising money for the campaign. Hammond told Politico that Gingrich himself is dialing for dollars.
