An old work buddy, HS classmate flew in one like it, can't recall which one, but what a loss this was... My brother in law, now 96, deaf and blind in just the last year now, was stationed in Naples during the War, many missions, all as the nose gunner, sometimes belly gunner because he was/is so small, a tough Portuguese by heritage, he came through OK, and still fits his uniform. He couldn't make the party yesterday, I need to get over and visit... Mind is as sharp as ever.. Not many of the old crews still kickin'...

Lots of folks are grieving at this loss, the film I saw earlier, nose and tail were all that were left...
