So why don't the Democrats -- Obama, for instance -- take the lead in getting us back to "manufacturing & creating goods"?

They could start by pushing to RESCIND Clinton's NAFTA and re-institute Glass-Steagall.

Decomp,

Our economy is consumer based.

This model makes us like a mammoth conglomerate, needing to consume more & more, & once the money source is cut off we fall off the cliff.

Until or unless we get back to manufacturing & creating goods, we are toast.
I don't see any other way out of the morass we are in.
Do you? clo
