Big Brother is a large part of the high prices. The U.S. burns more gas than any other country. We could meet our own needs without inporting any oil but the government does not allow the oil companies to get it. As to Sadia Arabia, they will pump and sell as much oil as they can because of the high prices. If oil dropped to $50 a barrel, they would cut back some but they like all the goodies they can buy with the oil money.
