I don't know about the rest of it, but I CAN believe "the global elite is also concerned about a diverse liberty movement that has grown exponentially with the help of an open and free internet."
One of my prognostications is that there is going to be a MAJOR MAJOR campaign of some sort to severely throttle free speech surrounding US politics and, especially, discussions about Constitutionality of governmental programs and overreach against localities and individuals.
Here's a tickler meme for you. We've been TRAINED to admire Lincoln for his war with the South. But the Southern states were mainly just trying to exercise their perceived right to EXIT a governmental bureaucracy WHICH DID NOT REPRESENT THEM AND DID NOT ECONOMICALLY BENEFIT THEM.
They had JOINED the Union voluntarily -- why couldn't they voluntarily leave? Why not...well, for approximately the same reason it isn't safe to leave any criminal gang and approximately the same reason the US couldn't peacefully leave the English empire. Institutions which hold power -- and the gang members who work in such institutions -- are always and everywhere loath to surrender power without a fight; commonly a fight to the death.
The issue of slavery was VERY much a side issue. As Lincoln HIMSELF said: "If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union." (Letter to Horace Greeley, August 22, 1862)
Slavery wasn't even the core of the problem the South had with remaining under the thumb of the Federal government -- most of those who opposed the north did not own slaves and many of them would not have wanted to own slaves. The friction mostly related to perceived lack of representation and, certainly, a clear flow of power -- political and economic -- from the agrarian south to the industrial and banking powers in the north. It was, fundamentally, an independence issue and, for most of the common citizens, a growing antipathy toward the north and, particularly, the north-controlled Federal government. It was an issue rather comparable to the growing resentment by decent, productive, law abiding citizens against a neverending power grab by the Central Planning bureaucrats, politicos, and Fascist-cum-ersatz-"businessmen" in Washington.

Anyway, getting back on my opening track, I am predicting a systematic crackdown on using the internet for debating things such as the Federal Reserve history, US military-industrial policy, and general disagreement with kleptocracy in the near future. How near? I will be somewhat surprised if the crackdown isn't apparent to most people who have disagreements with the growth of Central power within the next few years. I honestly don't think the Masters are stupid and I think they know that if free speech and reporting continues via blogs, email, and message boards for much longer there will be a tipping point into non respect and non compliance which will lead to civil unrest. I absolutely expect that to be preempted and I fully expect that the plans have already been made and are likely already being rolled out.
As Dylan said, "You don't have to be a weather man to tell which way the wind is blowing." Expect big time blow back. I certainly do.
P.S. For the record, I want to be crystal clear that I personally have ZERO desire or intent to physically oppose the government EVER; I never have and I won't. I'm not stupid and I understand that the majority of Americans WANT and support Communism and totalitarian government BY THEIR PARTY and for themselves and their pet projects. Further, I remember Waco and have some conception of how many bullets and bombs and tanks and soldiers of fortune the US government commands. So...I merely want to get out of this tinderbox or, if that isn't possible for some reason, to be left alone. I guess I'd say I also HOPE that there will be a return to less government and more freedom at some point in the future -- at least I would like that for my children and yours. And so, for the time being, I continue to express my "freedom of speech" while it remains free. When it becomes clear enough that freedom has been suspended I hope (pray) I am gone or have the sense to shut my trap.
I have come to realize that men are not born to be free. Liberty is a need felt by a small class of people whom nature has endowed with nobler minds than the mass of men. -Napoleon
