Linda, the spot price for gas is currently $3.03. There is usually a 50 cent mark up for the price at the pump. The mark up in your area (some of which is taxes) is probably 70 cents. The local gas stations are holding the prices up because it is summer and Americans drive more in summer. BTW, If the EPA was not in the way, we would be producing most of our oil in America and the price for that oil would be about $50 to $70 a barrel. But that would stop the 'Go Green' movement.

25%+ premium is on gas for future's trading. I'm sick of paying for wall st. profits, frankly.
