IMO, the market is looking at Interdigital as a pure asset play with the earnings potential as only upside. If Interdigital was a house, (asset) a favorable CAFC ruling would be the same as reinforcing the walls, fixing up the kitchen etc. If the Nortel patents fetch a good price, that is similar to the house next door selling for top dollar. Bottom line, wall street will have to adjust the value of the asset. Additionally with the DOJ looking into the sale of Nortels patents the trustee could not have dreamed of better advertising. IMO that is saying that these patents are a powerful weapon to control. Thoughts?
