What was that TV show with the private cars, detectives on old time RR rights of way?

You can run private cars, not sure about engines, for a price, and all subject to existing freight schedules... A lot of the old featherbedding labor rules need to be updated, but what are the odds.. As we get our local rail systems set up, so many rules and regs, different agencies... different counties, as well... Hope to get aboard the planning dept. before it's over... One tunnel to be rebuilt, some track to be re-laid, old routes were turned to walking trails... It's all got to be sorted out...

Old friend in Philly had fun with RR's, managed to gather all the old records, then donated them to various museums for tax writeoffs... Covered a lot of his gains for years...

And probably for a lot less money too.

Did you see where Tom Pawlenty is suggesting that any goods or service which you can find by doing a Google search which is offered by a private business, that government should stop providing those same goods and services? And one of the items that he mentioned was the postal service. Of course, he doesn't seem to care that the USPS is cheaper than either FedEx or UPS, they deliver on Saturdays for the same price as during the week and you can even ship something to a PO box. But the one item that stunned me was his claim that you could find a private alternative for AMTRAK using Google. And exactly what private company would that be that is providing PASSENGER rail service here in America?
