Why would Obama push this issue right now? Did you ever see the 1997 movie "Wag the Dog"?
The Washington Times was reporting that the Birth Certificate released last week was a forensic forgery and was calling for a Congressional and FBI investigation of the release of this Certificate of Live Birth posted on the White House website without having collapsed the layers used to copy information and insert other information. Thousands of people have downloaded the pdf document and demonstrated in Photoshop and Illustrator on YouTube, the numerous layers. However the link to the certificate was removed after the Washington Times report.
Next day Gaddafi's family is attacked but they did not get him (good but not great news) and probably not enough distraction. So last night we got a presidential statement on the death of OBL. So now the country has been temporarily distracted from the forgery of a birth certificate, at least for some time.
Last time I checked, forgery of an identity document was a Federal Crime especially if the document involves the identity of the President.
What do you think? Was reporting OBL's death a sufficient diversion?
