My dad, for the last 15 to 20 years of his life, knitted and crocheted. I think my sister still has a bedspread he crocheted. Mom still has several small tables with crochets on top. Someplace there is at least one tablecloth. There are also 2 or 3 boxes of yarn stored. (He has only been dead for nine years).
I crochet afghans, most are gifts. I go to a meeting on Saturday morning & usually crochet while there. This morning a woman asked if I take requests, if I would make two for her to give her sisters are both having babies.
I said I haven't but would & told her the store I buy the yarn at & what to look for, machine washable, chose colors & write them down.
Who knows, maybe I can get paid for creating memories for others ;))
