Linda, it is possible to have a connection between a computer in New York and L. A. that is totally secure. You cannot use the Internet to make the connection, but the connection can be made. I have never understood why ANY government computer should allow outside (Internet, etc. ) connections. I know why it happens. It allows some lazy government employee to access the computer from home or elsewhere. But since he can access it, so can anyone in the whole world.
