You can be sued by anybody anytime DGP and you MUST retain legal counsel to respond to whatever frivolous allegation may be contained on the suit.
You have NO CHOICE. I have been there already plus my daughter is a lawyer.
Bottom line is it costs money to hire a decent lawyer. A good cheap one is around $300 per hour. A better one is around $450/hr.
They aren't cheap. This is why BOB was asking for some financial help. I was hoping that a BUNCH of posters would send him a small amount so it added up to something large and would take care of it for Bob.
I am sure I am not the only one with experience with the litigation processes and their costs. Hopefully you never find out. They can be quite quite expensive.
I do hope this simple answer kind of helps your understanding of where Bob is at.
He feels alone on an island, providing a free service and not many want to help when trouble comes.
I do not fault him one iota.
I can only pray that Bob will be compassionate and allow this board the privilege to remain open, even though he has indicated that is not what his plan is.
