...Im 66 and I can tell ya that I would give a kidney to one of my kids or grandkids if they needed it, but I wouldn't take one from them at my age. Nor would I take one from anyone else. Too many young folks who need it. My decision, not a "panel" of former acorn employees.

micro, as to death panels, let me give you a tidbit from past knowledge. For a number of years I worked with a retired navy man who became a good friend. Because he was retired navy, his insurance was government provided. After he left AT&T he did not have AT&T coverage. He developed kidney failure and had to go on dialysis. His daughter wanted to give him one of her kidneys. The VA told him he was too old to get a transplant because he was 65. He died a few years later. So, of course, there will not be ANY death panels. Our government would never let that happen.
