Chrysler is refinancing at a lower interest rate ... and I don't blame them for doing so ... BUT, the Democrat politicians and unions, who are going around trying to tout this as a triumph of government nationalization (assembly line workers are wearing buttons that proclaim "Paid!"??? pure bullshit ... they used other people's money to pay off the government!) that somehow enabled Chrysler to "earn" its way to paying off its debt to the government, are simply ridiculously transparent liars. The only thing accomplished by the bailout of Chrysler is that our government pissed away billions of our money so the legal owners of Chrysler (i.e., the secured creditors) could be screwed out of their investments and the company could be turned over to the unions as a payoff for their members' votes. This is nothing but political payola, pure and simple, and in the end, the legal owners and the taxpayers are victims of gangster government.
