The guy in the ditch was lucky a car didn't land on him. A 'bomb' shelter seems like a good idea. I guess the right angle thing supposes you know which direction it's going. And if you can't tell, it's probably coming right at you.

Linda, if you ever see a tornado, move at right angles to it. Somebody told me that about 50 years ago and it has always made sense to me. You probably cannot out run a storm and you sure do not want to try to go through it. But then some guy lay on his back in a ditch by the road and took pictures of one passing over him once. He was up in the Panhandle. Those folks used to go out and park beside the highway to watch the storms form.
