I have seen several stories coming from Joplin. I did not see any people siting in lawn chairs holding send help signs. They are all too busy doing what needs to be done and helping each other out.
You never know what those storms will do. I once heard of a fellow who bought a telephone pole because a tornado plucked the feathers from some chickens and drove them into that pole. They said that the pole had feathers from top to bottom. Then there was a couple that drove acrose a bridge. Their car was picked up and gently set down on the other end of the bridge. They had to drive across the bridge again. I heard that most of the trees in Joplin were stripped of their leaves.
