A far better solution is to execute 46,000 prisoners. Probably not THESE guys - many of whom may be non-violent, white-collar criminals convicted of tax evasion and other non-threatening offenses. But plenty of room could be made in our prisons if we'd just execute 46,000 of the OTHER offenders - the violent ones, the drug dealers, auto thieves, burglars, rapists, etc. Oh, I know what they say about the EXPENSE of performing a single execution - but, believe me, the cost could be reduced. I could make it downright cheap!

But, I no longer believe in the death penalty. Some of you folks may not know that or believe it, but it's true. Thanks to a heart-to-heart I had with OldCADuser - who is a deeply religious bad-Catholic on the FFFT board - I am now firmly opposed to that barbaric practice and instead favor dropping America's lowlives off on an isolated, otherwise uninhabited island like Truk or Palau. Thereafter, all communication with the island would cease - except for future drop-offs, of course, and armed patrols to prevent anyone from ever communicating with or getting off the island.

I think it would be great and, frankly, I'm shocked that no one else seems to be taking up the cause. The prisoners would have their own tropical paradise to do with as they want! They'd be separated by gender, of course. Or they could be sterilized - so that the men and women could frolick freely... gaily... bestially... or whatever... with each another as part of their new, wonderful, FREE lives apart from society. But no kids... for obvious reasons.

I'll leave it for the liberals to decide which of the two approaches, separation or sterilization, they'd rather implement. I'd be okay with either. The important thing, though, is that these dirtbags would be out of our lives and we wouldn't be footing the bill for their continued existence. It's a perfect answer that should make everyone happy.

That's it: My new, humane fix for the prison overpopulation problem. I hope all of you will write your congressmen to push for it - because today's news that a veritable CITY full of prisoners who haven't yet done their time will soon be turned loose absoluately SUCKS!

Supreme Court orders California to release tens of thousands of prison inmates

The 5-4 decision represents one of the largest prison release orders in U.S. history. The court majority says overcrowding has caused 'suffering and death.' In a sharp dissent, Justice Antonin Scalia warns 'terrible things are sure to happen.'

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court ordered California on Monday to release tens of thousands of its prisoners to relieve overcrowding, saying that "needless suffering and death" had resulted from putting too many inmates into facilities that cannot hold them in decent conditions.

It is one of the largest prison release orders in the nation's history, and it sharply split the high court.
