clo,
re: 'Don't fret for the "wealthy"'
I'm not fretting for the "wealthy." I'm fretting for JUSTICE, and over the creation of a predatory government that now thinks it permissible to dine on "resources" who are too small (in number) or weak (in spirit) to resist.
The victims of this feast happen to include the wealthy who you won't lose any sleep over. Next year, though, perhaps it will dine on me. Or even you since I bet you have a few nice things that other folks would like to have for themselves.
You keep suggesting that many of the wealthy made money unethically and therefore deserve what they're getting. Never mind that you haven't provided evidence (of the "many" part) or that these people haven't had trials or been found guilty of anything. But does it bother you at all that many, many, many more might be upstanding people who made their money in admirable fashion, and that they too are under assault? If it does, you never mention it.
Discrimination by our government is flat-out wrong, clo. Whether that discrimination is based on color, gender or financial status does NOT matter. I strongly condemn a moral code which supports discrimination even when it is carried out by government (*especially* when it is carried out by government) and thrust upon victims who are not among society's most favored groups.
