Good Morning Clo!

I hope AtomBob notices this message about copyright law.

The idea that posting a link to copyrighted material avoids violating the rights of a copyright holder is not true.

Posting a link to copyrighted material is simply facilitating the violation of a copyright.

When you have no commercial purpose, and you are merely exchanging research, opinion, or criticism you inevitably fall into the 'fair use' exception to copyright law.

Quite obviously the user of the internet without a commercial purpose, or intent to deny value to the copyright holder, is adequately protected.

If anybody cares, and i don't think too many people do, there is good reading on the subject at Findlaw, and at the Cornell Law School library.

Posting a link to an internet site in lieu of the actual document or picture is an exercise only in cut and paste. It affords no legal protection or exemption.

Early on a Monday morning is really a terrible time to read crap from a geriatric lawyer.

I'm sorry.
