Gingrich is less than perfect, but he's probably the best thing for the nation out of the candidates widely viewed as having a good chance of winning: Gingrich, Pawlenty, Romney, Obummer or Huckleberry. Have I forgotten anyone?
I don't vote based on 'who can win,' however, and will give Ron Paul my full support. Voting for Gingrich, or anyone else, when I could vote for someone better is UNCONSCIONABLE - as far as I'm concerned. I don't see how any thinking, decent individual could do that, but most do. I've thus concluded that most Americans are NOT "thinking, decent individuals."
At least Gingrich is an extremely smart guy with a terrific understanding of history. And I think his heart is in the right place. He may turn out to be like Reagan: A president who does the wrong things for the right reasons. That's better, I suppose, than the others - who, if given the chance, would probably do the wrong things for the WRONG reasons. (No speculation about that with regard to Obummer. We now know for a fact what a self-serving, dirtbag President he is.)
