I'm perusing http://www-03.ibm.com/ibm/history/exhibits/modelb/modelb_milestone.html for info on the IBM Executive. The typewriter brand existed as early as 1960. However, if you consider Denninger's central argument -- that kerning requires "look ahead" (knowledge beforehand of what letter is going to be typed next) -- it seems extremely unlikely that a 1961 version of ANY typewriter would have that feature: spacing the current letter so it will look esthetically pleasing in regard to placement of the letter before and the letter after would seem to demand a memory and a computer (decision maker). I gather you know the approximate state, capability, availability, and cost of computers 1961?

As I said at the beginning of introducing Denninger's writings on this subject, the CENTRAL problem is that Obama established long ago that he, like Bush/Cheney before him, couldn't be trusted. Now ONLY A FOOL/STOOGE would take anything Obama says, does, or presents at face value. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." as Oprah USED to say.
