Good times ahead, IF you have any free time! Last conference I was involved with, we were in seminars, meetings all day, most evenings, no time to wander.. So we went back a couple years ago on our way into the Southwest... Many changes, things are a bit tighter now, lots of overbuilt housing...
In the morning I leave for Las Vegas for an technical conference (I'm presenting on Monday and Thursday). I'm driving and one of my co-workers is riding with me as he has several boxes of hand-outs that he needs for his sessions. Besides, considering what it takes now to get through airport security we can almost get there in the time that we would have to allot if you flew up. The cost to the company will be basically a wash, but it will give us an extra car for our group in case we need it (those that are flying will not be renting cars so the only vehicles will be from those us who are driving from our SoCal office).
