There's no kind of conversation which pleases everyone.
Some folks are simply incapable of seeing how it is they end up harming the fabric of a discussion.
In its conclusive avatar, moderation implies exclusion. The conversation is more important than individual participation. Exclusion often causes a reaction.
There's the salon. And then there's the salon des refusees.
Boards are exclusive or they are chaotic. Anarchy is not valueless but it tends to drive out civility and construction.
