The operations at Acer have been stabilized after nearly one month of restructuring following the resignation of former CEO Gianfranco Lanci at the end of March, according to company chairman and CEO JT Wang.

Sales of Acer-branded PC products have also remained steady at the end market, indicating Acer's brand value and consumers' confidence on Acer are not affected by the ongoing corporate structuring, said Wang, citing GfK data.

The company's forecast to see its PC shipments drop 10% sequentially in the second quarter also remains unchanged, Wang added.

Newly appointed corporate president Jim Wong also stressed that Acer will review its relationships with channels as the company will no longer push shipments to the channels in order to push up revenues and market share.

Acer will also strengthen its presence in the business notebook segment, said Wong, noting that Acer will gradually ramp up the ratio of business notebook shipment to its total notebook shipments from the current level of 20%.
