Former president Bill Clinton will hold a summit in Chicago in June to address ways to stimulate U.S. job growth with the unemployment rate hovering around 9 percent.
The Clinton Global Initiative said it will convene CEOs of American companies, small business owners, nonprofit and community leaders and government officials to develop ideas to drive economic growth.
This will be the first Clinton event dedicated to economic issues affecting the U.S. It will take place at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers on June 29 and 30.
As with other Clinton Global events, participants will be asked to make commitments to take action on the ideas discussed at the meeting.
