ribit, when I was in Atlanta it seemed that there was a robbery or murder at the down town site (Atlanta Underground if I remember correctly) at least once a week. I worked downtown during the daytime but no way would I go down there at night. I did ride the MARTA once. I drove over to the station between downtown and the airport and rode the subway to the airport. The subway fee was a whole lot less than the parking fee at the airport and there was no fee to park at the subway.

...we have a new thing these days. A couple of dozen thugs ranging in age from about 13 to 17 or so get on the subway and start beating people up and robbing them. If they get caught nothing happens because they are juveniles. If you cause one of them physical harm, you go to jail because they are juvenile. Meanwhile the local transit authorities are trying to figure out why they can't get people to ride public transportation so it will be "profitable". I could draw em a diagram but I don't think they would understand it.
