Please don't think that the 'heros' in Ayn Rand's books were "noble men". They were not. They tended to be selfish, egotistical and only cared about themselves.

Ayn Rand also despised representative democracy in the sense that she believed that only the 'ownership' class should be allowed to vote or hold elected office. As you would expect, she did NOT accept the idea that Capitalism was limited to only the practice of business. Her view was that what government there was, was to be subservient to the Capitalists or the 'ownership' class, and that it's primary role was to assure that there would be nothing in society which would interfere with the 'ownership' class achieving its deserved success.
