Hi 4321,
Not quite sure who GT is, although it sounds like you haven't so much time for him/her!
If you mean go-kite, I don't always understand what leads him to his conclusions, although I have sympathy for anyone who thinks they've been mislead from the unsafe harbour. I'm not terribly concerned by the timing of go-kite's scepticism myself, or ff's decision to follow his counsel. Looks a bit like a trader's opinion. I tend to trust my own judgement against the whole of Wavedom, let alone a single individual or two. When the mass of Wave's investors have been most optimistic I've usually been cautious for reasons I've explained. And although many Wave investors have now learnt caution for completely different reasons, I'm feeling increasingly optimistic.
Obstacles and only incremental progress were my theme for 2010. Amongst Wave's investors, I felt I was in a small minority in being cautious after the first auto deal. I think it proved valid through the year. The development with PWC really began to release my concerns, even without an ERAS deal. So when the expansion of the auto deal appeared at year-end, I recognised its most vital message: confirmation of the viability of Wave's product on a grand scale.
My theme for 2011 is that I think the arc of sales growth will bend Northwards. Wave clearly hit the first big auto contract out of the park. So I raised my sales target range for the year from 2010's $24-26m to 2011's $38-42m. BASF confirmed the shift in my optimism. I had been expecting a major new announcement of that type for the last few weeks, as it seemed we were overdue. I wouldn't be so surprised to see three or four more deals of that type in 2011, and indeed, it wouldn't even shock me if they hit double figures.
Once your solution is seen to solve intractable problems efficiently, almost anything is possible. Clients begin to knock on your door rather than vice versa. Each new major relationship makes the next one more likely. GM (?) ........... PWC ....... BASF .... ? ... ? .. ? . ????????
So things could go exponential quickly. I think they will. At the moment, I'm expecting that in 2012, but it could happen earlier. Sales of SEDs suggest as much.
I don't really care about short run price movements. If Wave chases my sales curve, the price will take care of itself in the long run.
