I told Fidelity to close my acconut and send me the AT&T stock about three years ago. They sent me the stock but not the cash left over. I think they wanted to keep the account open to try to get me to buy more stock. The balacne is $1.17. I figure it has cost them over a hundred dollars to send me statements to let me know I have an account with them with a balance of $1.17. I figure that with all the money they cost me by not giving me the dividends on the stock, I will just let them keep it open.
