I'm probably talking to myself, so please humor me.

--Gold, oil, and silver are respectively roughly 6x, 7x, and 10x higher IN DOLLARS than 10 years ago and acting as if they could easily double again in the next six months.

--We have PROOF BEYOND ACCOUNTING that there are probably 10,000+ big-time FELONS-in-waiting flagrantly flogging wall street, our currency system, our banks, and our government WITH A DELIBERATE DECISION BY OUR GOVERNMENT AND OUR "JUSTICE" DEPARTMENT TO *NOT* PROSECUTE BUT, INSTEAD, ALLOW THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS TO RUN OUT.

--We have "our" President and other elected and appointed "leaders" mouthing garbage and doing monkey dances via the media. Have you actually READ any of what Obamanation said (and didn't say) in his recent speeches? Have you READ what Rolling Stone has been publishing about massive corruption at the highest levels?? Do you think the Republicans are any better than the utter filth we have being represented by the Democrats?

--We have Atlas Shrugged, the movie, opening today. This was an 'impossible' to make movie based on an implausible "science ficition"/ dystopia novel ... which was deliberately written in a "Romantic" style with the good guys and bad guys acting and speaking effectively wearing white and black hats and talking in stilted fashion AS A DELIBERATE EFFORT BY THE AUTHOR TO MAKE IT A CLEAR MORAL STORY. But now it looks, more than anything else, as if Ayn Rand was merely clairvoyant and could see ... from 1960 ... exactly how things would be in 2011. Regardless of how this movie plays (and I am not expecting it to be a great production) THIS IS A *HUGE* SIGNPOST SCREAMING (quoting from the novel re the broken clock tower) "Your days are numbered".

--Today we will comply with filling out the paper and sending the checks to further show our support for this rotten and rotting system of "representation" and forever war. On an aggregate, national level something like 50% of all our earnings -- all our WORK -- is being cooped by the powers that be to further the ends most of us know we don't agree with.

--We have a huge majority of the American public apparently digging the show; not evidencing any real consciousness that THEY are the show ... and the entertainment ... and the dinner.


This is just freaking unbelievable. It isn't so unbelievable that a currency system can be (and will be if it can be) run into the ground but I can't quite come to grips that the PEOPLE of this country are so pacified about it all, mostly unconscious, and ESPECIALLY so completely befuddled about what to do about it. Not only are people STILL supporting CAREER politicians WHO HAVE A TRACK RECORD OF HAVING AIDED AND ABETTED EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. Not only are people NOT fleeing the dollar. Not only are people NOT marching on Washington. People aren't even turning their front and back yards into gardens (something anyone can do for virtually no money) in any significant numbers. The latter, in a funny way, is perhaps that most sensible precaution and, at the same time, one of the most "opting out" statements a person could make. But, although it can be done for maybe $100 and some sweat, I don't know anyone but myself who is doing it....

Anyway, De and I have commented through the years on how remarkable it was that the vast majority of people did NOTHING to escape Germany as Hitler came to power and the vast majority of people stayed in Jonestown to drink the Kool-Aide (look it up) even as all the dots were lining up.

I'm still disappointed at myself for not having done a lot more than I've done, but compared to almost everyone I know (except De, I imagine) I've figuratively and actually ACTED.

This is just freaking unbelievable. What do you think it MEANS when these sorts of things are happening ... and not happening? Whether or not silver "corrects" is almost irrelevant in the bigger picture. Clearly the situation as a whole WILL correct, sooner or later, and we are getting multiple Tsunami warnings ... and people are just laying around in their swimsuits and applying more sun tan oil?

You guys ... "we" ... really must be out of our minds.

Oh, lord, I want out of this nuthouse so badly...but there seems, as in the Atlas Shrugged story itself, no place left to run.
