ribit, back in the 80's we had a guy in Dallas who had an ungodly number of years service. Some of the guys sat him down and showed him he was losing money by coming to work. They convensed him to take a buy out and retire. Later he came by and was ranting about how his co-workers had forced him to retire. He was driving 40 miles one way to work and paying to eat out. His retirement check was within a few dollars of his paycheck. The real problem was he had to be at home with his wife all day, after he retired.
