Globe is in food danger zone: World Bank chief

By Greg Robb

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- High and volatile food prices are the biggest threat to the world's poor, said Robert Zoellick, the president of the World Bank on Thursday. Zoellick said he would press the G-20 to take a range of actions, including setting up emergency food stores to ease future crises and establish systems to compile better information about available food stocks. The World Bank is also seeking to help Egypt and other countries in the Middle East and North Africa to become more integrated in the global economy. Finance ministers from around the world will gather later Thursday to hear from Egyptian and Tunisian officials about what they need from the international community.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
