My wife and I have worked at the polls for decades. My job was to count up all the votes, ensure their accuracy AND COMPLETENESS, and deliver them to the town hall.

A bunch of old folks work at the polls and do a good job. It's best that the final tallying be left to somebody else who is skilled at numbers and computers. The woman's error seems very human rather than evilly intended. She will most likely resign.
