We all owe you a THANK YOU for keeping us together.

We are MORE than just a chat board. We have camaraderie and are friends. We have and share common interests and views. We also have the ability to have a different point of view and be accepting of it and not condescending..

I personally wish we all lived closer together and could get together on occasion.. IMO, that would be a great night out with friends with common interests and political views.

I still want to follow up on my plan we discussed.

The fall has arrived and the colors would be spectacular!

The "other forum" was not meant to be permanent. It was supposed to keep us going during an AB downage... which sometimes continued for weeks. I knew when I found that site that it wasn't the best. It was only meant to be "good enough" to hold us together for a short while.

But it became more than that and is now long term. But I finally found a better forum (still not as good as AB), a CLEARLY better forum, but nobody else wants to use it it. That has me scratching my head. I think that you and Zimbler are the only two to even give it a look. I don't know what to make of that.

The single best thing about AB is that gives users the ability to start reading where they left off and then read newer message in succession until they've all been read. It astonishes me that I can't find another forum that works that way. It's obviously the best approach for ongoing discussion, yet no developers except Raging Bulls' and Atomic Bobs' seemed to figure that out. (Not to detract from what from Bob id, but he obviously built his site to be just like RagingBull. So maybe RagingBull had the only developers on the entire internet who understood the importance of structuring messages that way. It's incredible.)

Oh well. I imagine that we who are still kicking after all these years will eventually go our separate ways. AB is going to get shut down. CHUM isn't very good. New users are not going to join.
