I am still tired from all the many miles of hiking and walking that we did while there.

I am trying to keep up with college athletes who don;t know how to slow down for "well seasoned" adults..

Like the ones who find ways to provide them with extra money and buy them their wants on this trip..

I know that is what grandparents do and I enjoy helping but I can't keep up with their pace nor go uphill ,(like mountain sides) very well either.

The Roman coliseum was magnificent. Mint condition after 2,000 years.. Of course the young ones had to run to the top and walk around up there awhile.

I just sat on the rock bench and took photos. Much easier.

I have surgery on the 29th. on my spine in lower lumbar area..

The Bosporous Strait is really special.. AN awful lot of Big ships like tankers come up thru there carrying
gasoline and oil. Saw multiple nation's vessels on there while out on a cruise ship for dinner there.

The Highlight for me was to Stand in John's House where Mary spent the rest of her earthly life which is just above Ephesus on top of the mountain. She could look down on the city from the house.

The city itself was Roman constructed and engineered.

A lot of it is still standing and in good shape while half of it has fallen down.. White marble was the principle choice for the buildings there and the streets were paved with it also..

The Apostle Paul spent time in Ephesus as well as John. Knowing the history and then standing on site there is simply indescribable. It brings the writings of Paul to life seeing the country he was walking thru and preaching to. John was finally exiled to an island after they could not kill him in a pot of boiling oil.. So they took him to Patmos. And there he remained until he died..

I hope we get to meet and talk with the Apostles in Heaven.. What they could tell us would be awesome..

Turkey is a beautiful land with mountains, plains, cities, rolling hills and many archaeological sites worth seeing..

I enjoyed the trip although I walked waaay too much for my physical condition, but it's a cost that was worth it to me. YMMV.

And with this I will have to bid adieu until tomorrow.

I am tired and miz micro has been talked into selling our house by our daughter and moving..

All news to me today and we have to have some debate on this topic.
