I have returned late yesterday from a very historical world history trip in the country of Turkey. I saw the Apostle John's house which is on top of a mountain overlooking Ephesus where Mary spent her remaining life.

Spent time walking thru the ruins of Ephesus and went inside a Roman Coliseum built there and went all the way to the top with my grand-kids and daughter and her husband.

It was an amazing and educational tour of the country.
Turkey is Mountainous. So you are either going over a chain or driving in the plains in between them.

The Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is a must see for every visitor. It makes the Mall of America look like a single store stand alone. Yep, its that huge.
We cruised on the Bosporus Strait and had dinner and a show. This stretch of water is the divide between Europe and Asia.. That was fun on the ship which had live entertainment and a spirited crown on board.

As I do not dance and neither know how to, We just enjoyed the younger crowd having a great time with the entertainers. I have a a gazillion pictures in an album my granddaughter put together from everyone's phones.

I flew over 18 hours yesterday so I am a little jet lagged today.. Crossed 7 time zones.

I managed to lock myself out of my cell phone this morning.. Don't ask me how.. I don't know. Glad its Sunday..

I have surgery on the 8th to repair my left arm Bicep. Its torn fairly badly. I can't use it.. Get another major joint injection into my spine on the 29th. The arthritis in my lower spine is back with a vengeance so Doc is trying this before ordering surgical procedural to clean out all of it.. We shall see as time goes a little further by,

I am considering retiring as I am feeling too worn out from moderate road trips. Ribs may well know something about that as he is older than me but maybe in better shape.. Ya never know. Everyone is different..

If my grand daughter makes these pics available I'll give ya the info that ya can see MANY hundred and hundred of photos taken of Turkey..

I was impressed with Ephesus'city layout in a Mountain Valley that the Romans had control over for a very long time. Istanbul is beyond Gigantic.. Its a rich mixture between the old, middle, and modern age. Has nice public transit including rail metro system to travel to places fast..

My day will likely be spent recovering from Jet lag and just being tired from walking so many miles with a bad Hip which is killing me, and lower spine issue.

So, Hopefully I can see if I can get access and will advise.
