Since the Nazi-admiring weirdo, Graham Platner, became the Democrats' de facto candidate for U.S. Senator from Maine, Democrats have been obediently giving Platner a big ol' slobbery tongue-bath without even a moment's reflection on his insane beliefs.

Now, a prominent Michigan Democrat is all peeved at the Washington Free Beacon for noticing that in honor of last year's Veterans Day she posted on Facebook a celebration of her grandfather who was a German soldier in World War I and a Nazi soldier in World War II.

Washington Free Beacon (@FreeBeacon) ~ Michigan trial attorney and Democratic fundraiser Kelly Neumann, the co-chairwoman of Senate candidate Mallory McMorrow’s campaign, threatened the Free Beacon with “legal action” unless we retract our story about her Veterans Day Facebook post honoring her grandfather who served “on the German side” in World War II, @AndrewStilesUSA reports.

Now, all the Free Beacon did was notice her Facebook post and remark that it was somewhat bizarre to honor a Nazi soldier in a "Happy (U.S.) Veterans Day" Facebook message, even if that soldier was a relative. No one said that he was a Nazi Party member or that he had committed any war crimes or crimes against humanity ... they just rightly pointed out it was truly strange (and in my humble opinion, wholly inappropriate) for her to post a celebration of a Nazi solider in honor of America's Veterans Day. And, I think Ms. Neumann's anger at having her very public posting receiving even more publicity SPEAKS VOLUMES ... as in she knows full well that her Facebook message was inappropriate.

It probably doesn't help much that she volunteered that "her grandfather, along with her father, 'escaped' to Brazil after Germany lost in World War II." ESCAPED??? If he wasn't a person of interest to the Allies, WHY did he feel the need to escape to Brazil - South America being a haven for Nazi war criminals after the war?

There is no reason why you cannot feel love and respect for your grandfather, Ms. Neumann, but there are such things as publicly volunteering too much information and for engaging in bad timing. The truth is an absolute defense, Ms. Neumann ... your grandfather absolutely was a soldier for Hitler's Nazi regime, and if you are now embarrassed by that undeniable fact, then you shouldn't have broadcast that knowledge to the world on the Internet, dearie.

Andrew Kaczynski (@KFILE) ~ Happy Veterans Day to your grandfather who served in the German army in World War II is insane. You don’t have to post everything.
