I wonder if that applies to the separate Virginia Beach residents only beach area?

Have there been problems there already Zim?

My daughter has not mentioned any to us.. Not that they spend time at the public beach..

I could see a Book coming there. How to lose the city's main source of income in one easy way..

Tourism is the number one revenue generator during warm seasons. Why would ya should yerself in both feet and blow off all yer toes?

Dimwitcrats are the absolute dumbest creatures on the planet....

This is crazy.
They arrested a reporter down there for a curfew violation. They demanded his ID and his Press identification. They’re stopping cars to question you. Want you to prove you are staying in a motel there or that you’re coming back from dinner at a restaurant.
This is the beach area where all the tourist stay
The city is going to get sued big time. And the taxpayers will pay. 

1) Standard citywide curfew
• Who: Unaccompanied minors (under 1Cool
• Time: 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• Where: Entire city (except special Oceanfront zone)

📌 This was officially changed in 2026 from 11 PM to 10 PM by city council. 

👉 This is the default rule in Virginia Beach at all times.

🌊 2) Oceanfront “imminent threat” curfew (temporary ordinance)
• Who: Unaccompanied minors
• Time: 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• Days: Friday–Sunday
• Where: Oceanfront (Rudee Park → 31st Street)

📌 This is a separate emergency ordinance layered on top of the normal curfew.

🚨 3) Temporary ALL-AGES curfew (specific April 2026 dates only)
• Who: Everyone (not just minors)
• Time: 9:30 PM – 5:00 AM
• Dates: April 17–18 and April 24, 2026
• Where: Same Oceanfront zone
