Joy Harmon, the actress best known for her iconic scene in "Cool Hand Luke," has died, according to TMZ.

She was 85 years old.

A family member confirmed Harmon’s death to TMZ. They said she died in hospice care at her home in Los Angeles after battling pneumonia weeks earlier.

According to her family member, she spent more than a week in the hospital, then several weeks at a rehabilitation center. She spent her final days in hospice care surrounded by loved ones, TMZ reports.

Her family said she expected to make a full recovery and return to work at her bakery, Aunt Joy's Cakes, in Burbank.

Harmon was born in Flushing, New York, and got discovered as a guest on "You Bet Your Life" by Groucho Marx, according to IMDb. SHe was later invited to work with Marx on "Tell it to Groucho," which led to film roles in "Village of the Giants" in 1965 and the iconic car wash scene in "Cool Hand Luke" in 1967.

That scene helped launch a bigger career as a pin-up model in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, but she later retired from acting to start a family. She turned her love for baking into the wholesale bakery Aunt Joy’s Cakes after first sharing her treats on the Disney Studios lot.
