Yep ... the 2025 filing threshold for single filers under age 65 is a gross income of $15,750 and above. So, if the only income she has for 2025 is $12,500 of SS disability benefits, then she doesn't even have to file.

Oh, and Zim ... you wanna grab that federal tax book of yours, come over here, and help me get some last minute returns out the door?!

According to my 2025 federal tax book . . .

Single, under 65, File a return if your gross income was at least $15,750.
