Golf Fans Celebrating Augusta National's Likely Stance On President Trump
With The Masters set to begin on Thursday morning, how does Augusta National feel about the President of the United States? President Trump, 79, plays more golf than any U.S. President in history. Could he one day land an official membership at the iconic golf club?
It doesn't sound like it.
President Trump's "personality" is deemed unfit for the prestigious golf course in Augusta, Georgia.
"I think you can answer that yourself - because he's Trump," Butch Harmon said about President Trump's potential membership.
He continued, "I think he is who he is. He's full of himself. He's the type of person that I don't think fits the profile of an Augusta member.
"I've known him most of my whole life, because his father was a member of Winged Foot [Harmon's father, Claude, was the head professional], so I've known Donald pretty much my whole life."
"What you see is what you get with him. And I don't think his personality fits the membership at Augusta."
