Oh, I don't know:

Sweet 16 Teams
Big 12 = 3 (Arizona, Houston & Iowa State)
Big 10 = 6 (Purdue, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Michigan & Michigan State)
SEC = 4 (Texas, Arkansas, Alabama & Tennessee)
ACC = 1 (Duke)
Big East = 2 (St. John's & Connecticut)

The Big 10 has done very well so far in this tournament, but the conference representation seems to be fairly well spread. If anything, I'm surprised that the ACC is this under-represented in the Sweet 16.

Just checking the brackets and so far the Big 10 and 12 seem to be the forces to be the strongest..

I was a tad surprised by the success of the BIG 12 and Big 10 in the tourney thus far and somewhat bewildered by the not so good showing by the SEC teams..

They are not the dominant force in this tournament as they were in lots of years past. A tad surprising.. At least to me..

Are they having an off year in mens basketball?
