I am going to go help my former plant superintendent's wife with post death things that everyone who loses a spouse goes through. She is a sweet and yet simple Kentucky woman who stood by my superintendent thru all his coarse ways and wasn't particularly gentle in his speech or ways.
She put up with a LOT..
She was an example of a Christian wife without a believing husband and yet she stayed faithful to God, Church and prayed for him always.

About a week or two before he fell deathly sick he came to her and told her that he had accepted Christ as Savior. He finally saw by her life that Christ had made a difference. So he asked Christ to forgive him and to come into his heart and be his Lord and savior.

He became a changed man after that and started attending Church his wife had gone to by herself for a few decades. (yes, the Church is still standing)

He had been my friend over forty years. He was rough but he knew how to work and lead others. You could trust him with anything.

He took care of everything financial at home and his wife did not know what he was doing or how to do things. She trusted him and stayed by him as gruff as he was.

I am going to visit her tomorrow and try to help her sort thru things and see if I can take care of any problems she may be encountering.
I do not know what kind of financial condition she is or was left with either. SO it will be a day full of surprises.

If she is having financial shortfalls then I need to help her with that. If she needs help going thru all the records and getting things into her name then I can do that. Will just have to wait and see.

I personally think she should sell that large two story country house and get something much smaller for just her. I'll see what she thinks and will just try to be helpful and take care of any problems she may be having..

This is about an hour plus to get there so there is road time ahead.

Anyway, I will see y'all much later tomorrow. Thumbs Up
